About It's Giving Gone

The short version: we find last-minute getaways that are actually on sale — for people who are fried, a little broke, and need to leave this weekend.

Why this exists

Rest shouldn't require three months of planning and a mortgage payment. Most travel sites are built for the person booking a trip six months out. It's Giving Gone is built for the other person — the one who slams the laptop shut on a Thursday and needs somewhere to go by Saturday, without paying peak prices for the privilege.

So we watch for the drops: rentals and rooms that just fell below their own normal rate or below what comparable places are charging, close enough to leave on short notice. And because the drive is the escape, we map the roads worth taking to get there.

How it works

• We continuously scan places to stay — Airbnb, hotels, and rentals — across a curated set of drive-and-fly getaway markets.
• We compare each listing's current price against its own recent rate and against comparable stays, and surface the ones that are genuinely below market and leaving soon.
• When something's a deal, you book it on the provider's own site (Airbnb, the hotel, etc.) — we don't take your payment or handle the reservation. We just point you at the drop while it's still there.
• Prices move fast and sell out. We refresh on every sweep, but always confirm the price and details on the booking site before you pay.

It's Giving Gone is free to use, and there's no account required. We earn money through affiliate and travel-partner programs — when you book through some of the links here, we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. Who's behind it
